• MYTHIC22AL system
MYTHIC22AL is a MYTHIC22CT equipped with an
autoloader.
The autoloader is in charge of moving racks,
detecting tubes. It identificates them and then
provides them to the analyser.

• Two modes (CT, OV)

CT: The autoloader runs closed tubes, and only
those adapted to the racks.
OV: For other tubes, a second mode can sample
them (no piercing only open vials). In this
mode, there is no automatic identification
neither automatic mixing nor automatic
rerun.

RERUN
• The rerun is the ability of the system to rerun
samples regarding the results and the lab
settings.
• In autoloader mode, the rerun is
automatically managed by the system.

– Worklist: list of orders to run on the instrument
(on routine).
– Order: information about tube to analyze made of
Patient information and sample information.
– RackPos: Combination of the rack number and
the position
– Working day: From the first login of the date,
until the next.

Principle

BASIC PRINCIPLE
The autoloader, after rack loading, reads the rack barcode for
identification (and verification).
It detects a tube, reads its barcode.
Associates the tube to an order (existing or created).
Runs the analysis using information of the order (test, blood
type).

• The main key for tube/order association is the barcode, it is

compared to the order sample identification (SID).
• In a second time, the Combination of the rack id and the tube
position is compared to the RackPos.
• In the case of Other vials mode, the association is done by the
user when running manual analysis on a choosen order.
• In case of a doubt between the tube and the orders in the
worklist, the orders are passed to the U (unmatch) status and
the tube is associated with a default order.

The worlist can be initialized, modified :

The created order is checked for security rules.

Security and limitations

• SID is mandatory .
• SID is unique in a worklist at order creation (Only system can duplicate orders on
rerun requests).
• Space characters at the beginning and at the end of the SID are ignored.
• RackPos is unique in the ToDo list.
• If an order is rerun it is duplicated in the worklist.
• On a Done order we can only change the test and the RackPos (for the rerun).
• PID and/or ID can be mandatory (by settings).
• Barcode can be mandatory (by settings).
• Nothing can be changed on a running order (In progress).
• Worklist can manage up to 500 orders.

• Case 1: Match case, barcode is read and matched to an SID in the worklist
without incoherence with the RackPos.
• Case2: Unmatch case, Order found with the RackPos but barcode does not
match the SID.
• Case 3: Unmatch case, Order found with barcode in ToDo status but
RackPos does not match in worklist.
• Case 4: Match case, barcode read but no order found, default order is
created.
• Case 5: Match case, No barcode read, order found with RackPos.
• Case 6: Match case, no barcode read, no order found, default order is
created.
• Case 7: Match case, barcode is read and matched to an SID in the worklist
without incoherence with the RackPos, the order found is already done, so
it is duplicated (rerun).
• Case 8: Unmatch case, barcode is read and matched to an SID in the
worklist but the RackPos is different.

• From the datalog select rerun to duplicate the order in the
worklist.
• The order must exist in the worklist but not in T status.
• In OV mode, just run the sample on the selected order.

• When default order is used because of unmatch or no order

found in the worklist (cases 2, 3, 4, 6 and 8), it is possible to
associate the result with an order after run.
• The result will be the tagged with ‘M’ for manual association.

• After confirmation, the result is associated to the order and

modified in the internal memory (not the information used in
the analysis: Blood type and test nor the RackPos), the order
