b. Review
Let us first recall our previous lesson, last meeting
we discussed about the tools for installing LAN
Cable.
I’ve got here some pictures of the tool. Kindly
identify its name and function.
Unshielded Twisted-Pair (UTP) Cable - most
common cable used in computer networking.

RJ45 Connector - registered jack 45 is an eight-

wire connector used to connect computers to
category 5 unshielded twisted pair cables in a
network.

LAN Tester - assists in the installation and

control of networks.

Crimping Tool – used to crimp UTP Cable to

RJ45 Connector.

Wire Stripper – Used to remove the outer jacket

of the wire.

Do you have any questions with regard to our None sir!

discussion last meeting?

It’s nice to hear that you have learned something

from our previous topic.

c. Motivation

Before we proceed into our next lesson. Let’s

have some fun first. We’ll have the Color Quiz. All
you have to do class is to identify the color, not
the word, by saying “It’s (the color), not (the
name.)”
For example: It’s Green, not Yellow.
Are you ready?

It’s Red, not Blue.

It’s Blue, not Orange.
It’s Yellow, not Black.

Wow! You guys are amazing.

I’ve a UTP Cable here. And let’s look what’s inside

of it.
Could you tell the colors of these tiny wires?
Orange & White

You guys really have sharp eyes.

Did you know class, according to Glassdoor.com,
an IT expert has an average annual salary of
$68,473 and that’s equivalent to P3,461,692.91. Wow!
So, in this classroom we will learn how to create
LAN cabling.
So, are you ready? Yes, Sir!

2. LESSON PROPER

Unlocking of difficulties

Everybody read, please!

LAN Cabling is a process of creating LAN
Cable which is used in interconnecting
computers.

Straight-through cable is used to connect

computers, printers and other network client
devices to the router switch or hub.

Thanks!

Before we have our activity, let’s have a video (The student will watch the video.)
about the procedure in creating a straight
through cable.

a. Activity
i. Pre-Activity Ok Sir!
(The class will be grouped into three by counting
off. The teacher will distribute the activity card to
the group’s leader.)

Class you’ll be graded by this rubric.

Before doing your activity, kindly keep these rules

in mind.
