KEY B/D Check Procedure

※ Disassemble the KEY B/D and the front cover then, place the KEY B/D as shown below.
Then, turn the power on.

1. Checking KEY B/D power.

1-1. Check TP1 is 3.3V(±0.1) – refer to ⓛ as shown in Fig.2.


1-2. TP2 is 1.2V(±0.1) – refer to ⓛ as shown in Fig.2.
1-3. TP3 is 5.0V(±0.1). – refer to ② as shown in Fig.2.

Note:
1. If there’s no VCC1.2 on TP2, check TP1 is VCC3.3. If VCC3.3 comes from DIGITAL B/D,
replace U1 (NCP1117STAT3, voltage regulator) or KEY B/D.

2. If there’s no VCC5.0V on TP3, check DIGITAL B/D.

2. Checking Clocks.
2-1. Check the clock of Y2 is 12MHz – refer to ③ as shown in Fig.7.
2-2. Check the clock of Y1 is 32.768KHz. – refer to ④ as shown in Fig.7.
2-3. Check the clock of Y3 is 20MHz - refer to ⑤ as shown in Fig.8.

3. Checking LCD.
3-1. Check D1 is shown blow.

2. Check R74’s voltage is higher than 22.5V.

Note:
1. Check R74’s voltage is higher than 26V after removing the LCD unit.
- If it is under 26V, replace the KEY B/D.
- If it works well but LCD doesn’t come up, replace LCD unit.
