Identifying and Managing Your Stressors

I think that I know how to deal with stress but sometimes it can be very difficult. Normally, I get
very nervous and I can't stop thinking about what's bothering me. I am a very perfectionist person
and I still demand more from myself, especially at school. In 2019 I started to have a lot of fears, I
couldn't sleep and I wasn't very well at home.That's when the whole process to solve it began.

When my parents realized this, they sought help from a professional: they started taking me to a
psychologist, where she saw what was happening to me. At the end of 2020 some things were fixed
but the psychologist saw that I needed a little more help. She referred me to a psychiatrist, who
evaluated me and diagnosed me with generalized anxiety disorder. The psychiatrist gave me
medication which makes your inner voice less repetitive with what's bothering you. Today I am still
taking the medication, I hang out with my friends who are very understanding and supportive and
I also continue to see a psychologist. I am much better!
