In addition to above, MEAL officer will also provide technical assistance in designing mechanism for the dissemination and effective utilization of information for improved quality of projects delivery as well as liaison with communication department for provision of facts and figures of response activities. Also, the MEAL Officer will develop a knowledge management system in consultation with programme team and partners to facilitate access o Humanitarian Response projects learning. The Position holder will also be responsible for contributions in organizational accountability, learning, capacity building, research and development of new projects. This is a full time role; however, Oxfam offers various flexible arrangements which candidates can discuss with the Recruiting Manager at interview stage This role reports to: MEAL Manager, Humanitarian Page 2 of 8 Staff reporting to this N/A post: Annual budget for the N/A post: Key Internal Oxfam departments and key internal and external stakeholders, relationships/interactions: Partners. ‘Screening checks: This post will be recruited after reference checks The main tasks of the MEAL Officer include the following: * Promote understanding and capacities within projects teams on MEAL, and the use and /or analysis of MEAL systems at the project and partner levels. ‘+ Establish an overall participatory monitoring framework for humanitarian programme (specifically ‘ongoing flood response) including accountability and learning tools, conducting field MEL exercise and data management and analysis, + Ensuring that the MEAL system specifically for ongoing flood response incorporate the MEAL principles, minimum standards and accountability mechanisms and system for feedback from all stakeholders specifically the target communities + Support in projects M&E action plan development and devise activities of partners monitoring team accordingly to achieve targets in response areas while providing technical back stopping. + Facilitate and support the beneficiary's database development through developing formats and ensuring data collections is being done transparently and appropriately despite emergency situation + Provide technical guidance to partners in the quanttative & qualtative data collection, analysis. .)y * and management and report back in an effective manner.
