SIMPLE PAST

To speak about actions and events in the past

In the past we find two kind of verbs:

REGULAR: They end with –ed / -d /-ied

IRREGULAR: The verb change completely in the past ….EX go /went.

To talk about the past you need past time adverbials, they are:

YESTERDAY

LAST ( WEEK , MONTH , MONDAY , SUMMER , WINTER , WEEKEND )

INTERROGATIVE :

AUXILIAR : DID + VERB INFINITIVE

YES / NO QUESTIONS: DID + SUBJECT+ VERB INFINITIVE…?

WH QUESTIONS : GIVE INFORMATION WH +DID+SUBJECT+VERB INFINITIVE?

NEGATIVE:

DIDN’T + INFINITIVE

S + DIDN’T + INFINITIVE
PAST CONTINUOUS

It is use to describe along action that happened in the past and it is interrupted by another action .

The action in the past is longer than the action that interrupts The actions are linked by the word
WHEN

Was / were + verb –ing

She was sleeping when her mother phoned.

FUTURE TENSES

GOING TO

We use going to for plans for the future , for intentions and for evidence

AFFIRMATIVE: S + VERB TO BE +GOING TO + INFINITIVE

NEGATIVE: S + VERB TO BE NEGATIVE + GOING TO + INFINITIVE

QUESTIONS: VERB TO BE + SUBJECT+ GOING TO + INFINITIVE
