Philippines Area 2024 Temple and Family History Goals
Philippines Area 2024 Temple and Family History Goals
To: Area Seventies assigned to Temple and Family History and Lead Area Temple and Family
History Advisers
Dear Elder Madriaga, Elder Cinco, Elder San Gabriel, Elder Lee and Brother and Sister Soria:
We are grateful for your leadership in guiding members to come unto Christ and unite
families for eternity. In 2023, our Area saw a notable increase in Temple and Family History work,
ending with 35,036 submitters, a 28% rise from 2022. While significant, it is a small portion of
our potential. We aim to encourage more leaders and members to integrate temple and family
history work into their routines as we prepare for upcoming temples in the Philippines.
In line with the Area Plan to Come unto Christ: I will Go; I will Serve, we desire to increase
the number of members engaged in inspiring journeys of discovering, gathering, and connecting
their family—past, present, and future. We want to have more of our members become “gatherers”
as they create and actively use FamilySearch accounts, and Ordinances Ready each time they
worship in the temple and build their family trees. In 2024, we're launching the
#MyTempleJourney social media campaign as one of several initiatives. Our goal is to reach at
least 50,000 submitters by year-end. To monitor our progress, we would like to focus on submitters
as our key indicator.
Enclosed is a PowerPoint presentation of our 2024 temple and family history goals and
opportunities. Kindly share this with Area Seventies and Area Temple and Family History
Advisers for distribution to local leaders.
Sincerely,
