1.Can you describe your experience with using

artificial intelligence tools or applications for
academic purposes?

- Al tools can be a helpful supplement, but

they're not perfect. Some apps offer great
summaries, but like, textbook cliffs notes,
they can miss important details.I still rely
on teachers and good old-fashioned
textbooks for a deeper understanding.

2.How do you perceive the influence of artificial

intelligence on your learning process and
academic performance?

- The impact of Al on learning is kind of a

mixed bag. It can definitely help with
grasping concepts faster, especially for
introductory stuff. But sometimes, Al
explanations just don't click for me, and
my grades haven't shown a huge jump.
3.In what specific ways do you think artificial
intelligence has affected your study habits or
approaches to learning?

- The impact of Al on learning is kind of a

mixed bag. It can definitely help with
grasping concepts faster, especially for
introductory stuff. But sometimes, Al
explanations just don't click for me, and
my grades haven't shown a huge jump.

4.Can you provide examples of how artificial

intelligence technology has helped or
hindered your academic progress?

- Al tutors can be hit or miss. A classmate

swears by theirs, but the one I tried felt
robotic and didn't answer my specific
questions well. Real teachers are way
better at adapting explanations and
sparking discussions. However, those Al
practice problems some apps offer?
Those can be a lifesaver for identifying
weak areas and targeted practice!
5.What are your thoughts on the potential
benefits and drawbacks of integrating
artificial intelligence into the educational
system for senior high school students?

- Al in schools has potential benefits, like

personalized learning for different paces.
But there's a flip side. Overdependence on
Al summaries could hinder critical
thinking. Learning should involve active
engagement, not just passively
consuming machine-fed information.

6.How do you think artificial intelligence

compares to traditional teaching methods in
terms of enhancing academic performance?

- Traditional teaching methods have a lot of

value. Teachers can answer questions on
the spot, adjust explanations based on
student needs, and create a dynamic
learning environment. Al can't quite
replicate that human element. However,
Al could be a powerful tool for teachers,
providing data on student progress and
allowing for more personalized lesson
plans.

7. Have you noticed any changes in your

motivation or engagement with learning as a
result of interacting with artificial intelligence
tools?

- Al tools can be a double-edged sword for

motivation. They can make overwhelming
topics more manageable, keeping me on
track. But sometimes, relying on
summaries can make me feel less
connected to the material. It's about
finding a balance between using Al
efficiently and actively engaging with the
subject.

8.How do you think artificial intelligence can be

better utilized to support senior high school
students' academic success?
- Imagine Al tutors that adapt to your
learning style and offer real-time
feedback! Plus, Al-powered simulations or
VR experiences could make complex
concepts way more engaging. Combine
that with strong teachers who can guide
discussions and answer questions - now
that's a powerful learning environment!

9.What concerns, if any, do you have about the

ethical implications of using artificial
intelligence in education?

- Ethical concerns with Al in education are

real. Biased algorithms could
disadvantage students. We need
safeguards to ensure fairness and prevent
Al from discouraging students from
developing critical thinking skills.

10. In your opinion, what role should

educators and policymakers play in ensuring
that artificial intelligence positively impacts
the academic performance of senior high
school students?

- Educators and policymakers should work

together. Educators can provide valuable
insights into developing effective Al tools,
while policymakers can ensure these
tools are unbiased, complement
traditional methods, and ultimately
empower students to become
independent learners. It's about using Al
strategically to enhance the learning
experience, not replace the irreplaceable
role of human educators.
