Lecture and demonstration method used to teach

that does not assure consistence of content nor
accommodate the diverse learning styles of
learners to proceed at the same pace regardless
of interest talent, demands on time and prior
experience.

There are 4 types of traditional teaching

methods
 Lecture
-The teacher clarifies the content matter to the
students by using gestures, simple devices, by
changing voice, change in position and facial
expressions. Teachers are more active and
students are passive but the teacher also asks
questions to keep the students attentive

 discussion

-a variety of forums for open-ended,

collaborative exchange of ideas among a teacher
and students or among students for the purpose
of furthering students thinking, learning, problem
solving, understanding, or literary appreciation.

 Questioning
- involves using questions in the classroom to
open conversations, inspire deeper intellectual
thought, and promote student-to-student
interaction. Effective questions focus on eliciting
the process, i.e. the 'how' and 'why,' in a
student's response, as opposed to answers which
just detail 'what.
