PATTERN
Right and Left Mitts are identical Knit till you are 1.5” from the thumb

Cast on 36 stitches 1 - P all

Knit rows 1 - 18 (garter stitch) 2 - K all
You should have 9 ridges on your garter stitch
Repeat 1-2 two more times
Join stitches in the round, place marker for beginning of
round, K to marker Bind off
Knit till you are 2” from the garter stitch
Thumb
Begin Thumb Gusset
Put held stitches on needles
1 - M1R, K, M1L, K to marker
2 - K all Pick up one stitch from the mitt right by the thumb stitches,
3 - M1R, K3, M1L, K to marker Ktog with first thumb stitch, K to 1st before the end of the
4 - K all round, pick up one st from the mitt right by the thumb stitch-
5 - M1R, K5, M1L, K to marker es, Ktog with the last thumb st
6 - K all
K all till 1” from join

8 - P all Bind off
