We are submitting a project proposal for the Establishment of vocational Skill & Computer Center in Wari
District Dir Upper for your kind consideration. The project aims to empower the community of the village Wari
Dir Upper.
The Center Will Increase employment opportunities, market access and incomes for poor residents particularly
women of the village. The Project seeks sustained improvement in the life standard of the residents of village
Wari by strengthening low-income and diversifying livelihood opportunities. This center will provide the Skills
to the women. Alkhidmat Foundation needs funds for the establishment of the said Project.
We kindly request your support in funding a portion of the project in its entirety. Any contribution you make
will be invaluable in helping us reach our goal. We are committed to transparency and accountability and will
provide regular updates on the progress of the Vocational Skill & Computer center.

The total cost of the project stands at Rs. 8,637,640 /- The Budget and project details are attached.

INTRODUCTION – ALKHIDMAT FOUNDATION:

Alkhidmat Foundation is a non-governmental, charitable and development-oriented humanitarian organization


working to provide relief in disasters, aid to displaced people, shelter to homeless, food to hungry and
education to deprived students. Alkhidmat Foundation strives for uplift and sustainable socioeconomic
development of the underprivileged communities and supports them reach their full potential by tackling the
root cause of poverty. Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Region has long experience in implementing
projects across KPK that includes the seven service areas of Disaster Management, Education, Health,
Mawakhat (Islamic Finance), Community Service, Orphan-care and Clean Water. Its mission is to
work for the amelioration of humanity. AKF carries out its operations mostly through community participation.
The thematic working areas of the organization cover a wide spectrum including special expertise in emergency
relief services, rehabilitation and reconstruction, infrastructural development, health, education and
community services. Alkhidmat Foundation extends non-denominational physical, technical and financial
assistance to the victims of disasters, war, diseases and poverty regardless of caste, color and creed. The
organization has its sub-offices in almost every district of KP. Alkhidmat Foundation is working with the motto
of ‘Services to Humanity with Integrity’.

ALKHIDMAT FOUNDATION SERVICES:

In accordance to the importance of education, Alkhidmat Foundation KP Region has established an educational
program titled: “Education Department” to provide and spread quality education in every nock and corner of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Pakistan especially in far-flung rural, flood affected, war on terror & earthquake hit
areas of the province. Currently Education Department operates 22 Alkhidmat Foundation Schools 17 child
protection centers that are providing education to 8,000 students with the help of 404 trained teachers.
Furthermore, these educational institutions are providing free education to 589 orphans and 835 poor & needy
students.

VISION:
Education Department of Alkhidmat Foundation envision nation building through education, terbia, research
and intellectual engagement, by preparing global citizens for life-long learning in a diverse and a challenging
world.

PROJECT INTRODUCTION:

Everyone deserves quality education. Education in the largest sense is any act or experience that has a
formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual. In its technical sense, education is
the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one
generation to another. Keeping the broad vision of providing quality education to poor and orphan children in
far-flung rural areas, Education Department is operating a network of educational institutions with the
collaboration of different organizations.

Upper Dir district is located in Dir Valley between 35° 04Ꞌ to 35° 46Ꞌ north latitudes and 71° 32Ꞌ to 72° 32Ꞌ east
longitudes. The district is bordered by Chitral district and Afghanistan on the north and northwest, Swat district
on the east, and by Lower Dir district on the south.

Nestled in the foothill’s mountains, Wari is a picturesque town that offers breathtaking views of the
surrounding mountains and valleys. With its mild climate and abundant natural beauty, it is a popular tourist

Establishment of Vocational Center Wari Village Dir Upper will provide residents of the village to work and
organize together for the benefit of the village including education, refine skills, social and cultural activities
and provide a communal platform to collective/ participatory efforts for development.

Majority of the Village is unskilled and engaged in low yielding. The situation demands that a Skill Center should
be established focusing on strengthening of local initiatives for development by promoting participatory
approaches, linkage development with potential organization, as present there are no such institutional
arrangements to facilitate and encourage collective efforts to promote local initiatives for development and
cross-cultural coherence. Keeping in view the above-mentioned facts and needs of the valley Alkhidmat
Foundation intends to Establish Vocational Skill Center Wari Village District Die Upper.

Project Objectives:
• To make available a secure place for quality education.
• To provide educational facilities and help them to become useful members of the society.
• To provide educational facilities with the help of highly qualified staff at very minor fees.
• To provide them a space of feeling being a useful faction of the society.
• To provide basic literacy and facilities for those who wish to study further
• To accomplishing physical, intellectual and aesthetic development of the child.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES:

Tailoring is an art which plays a fundamental role for making the dress more attractive & eye catching for all
age groups This course is aimed at providing skills to the special children with various specialty groups. This is
a specialized flexible course based on 100% practical. The trainees will gain the basic skills of cutting and
stitching which will enable them to become an active member of the society as well as to earn their livelihood.

Program Management, Monitoring & Reporting:

AKFP will oversee this project through its existing structure for supervision however a Project Manager and
other required staff like trainers, facilitators, Admin, Security and Finance will be recruited for overall project
management including administration, programming, reporting, and financial monitoring and accountability.

The M&E Officer along with project staff will monitor outputs and activities throughout the duration of the
project. Records will be kept of results from specific activities such as distribution of kits. These records will be
updated on a monthly basis with reports provided according to the requirements.

AKFP will also provide reports as per requirements & guidelines. On-going liaison with the concerned
volunteers and participants will also be conducted to evaluate beneficiary’s opinions regarding the
effectiveness of inputs and interventions.

Specific outputs monitored will include:

• Attendance
• Trainings Completion at different stage and command
• Referral trainees to AKF district teams for micro finance grant.
• Monitoring of successful trainees, evaluating their workspace established.
• Impact Surveys.
