Peer Tutoring on Enhancement of Mathematics Performance of Selected Grade 6 Students

at Gregorio Herradura Elementary School, Victoria, Laguna, Philippines
December 2022
Philip Cyrill Candelaria
According to Calendaria Peer tutoring is a teaching strategy that involves matching up
intelligent students with students who perform at a similar level or below in systematic reading
and math study periods. This study's primary goal is to identify the issues facing a sample of
grade 6 students in maths that would improve the pupils' academic achievement in the topic. As
for the Data collection will be carried out by choosing male and female grade 6 pupils using
distinct findings from the questionnaires used for the pretest and posttest. Additional pupils who
do not fit into The information collection does not include the category. This study's exclusive
goal is to accomplish its objective, and it won't look into other possibilities.
The finding suggests that school heads and classroom teachers may use "peer tutoring" as a
learning method for helping the learners improve their performance in mathematics. The school
and the classroom teachers may use peer tutoring as a learning method that entails student
partnerships that pair good students with lower achievers or pupils with comparable achievement
for systematic reading and math study times.

was gathered over the course of the study using student surveys, individual diary entries, and
student work samples over the course of four weeks. The report's findings demonstrate both
stable and beneficial effects in students' arithmetic proficiency as well as information confirming

discernible influence on mathematical success by means of peer tutoring. Additionally, this study
illustrates how students' abilities and personality influence the efficiency and inefficiency of
mathematical job outputs.

Using Peer Tutoring to Improve Students’ Academic Achievement in Financial Accounting

Concepts

Taiwo Grace Olulowo

Published 22 Sept 2020

According to Taiwo, this study examined how well students' academic proficiency in financial
accounting concepts was improved by using the peer tutoring instructional technique. A 2×2×3
factorial matrix was used in a nonrandomized pretest-posttest control group quasi-experimental
design. 137 pupils that were purposefully chosen from eight complete classes in secondary
schools in Southern Nigeria made up the research sample. While the control group received
traditional lectures, the experimental group used peer tutoring as their instructional style. Data
for this study were gathered using the Financial Accounting Achievement Test, Teachers'
Instructional Guides on peer tutoring, and the traditional technique. The findings confirmed that
the traditional lecture approach is less successful than peer tutoring in raising students' academic
proficiency in financial accounting concepts.

the study recommends that post-basic school teachers should make use of the peer tutoring
instructional strategy to present financial accounting lessons in secondary schools to advance
students’ attainment in the subject.
