Introduction
Noise pollution, also known as environmental noise or sound pollution, is the
propagation of noise with harmful impact on the activity of human or animal life. The
source of outdoor noise worldwide is mainly caused by machines, transport, and
propagation systems. Noise pollution affects both health and behavior. Unwanted
sound can damage psychological health. Noise pollution can cause hypertension, high
stress levels, tinnitus, hearing loss, sleep disturbances, and other harmful effects.
Sound becomes unwanted when it either interferes with normal activities such as
sleeping, conversation, or disrupts or diminishes one's quality of life.

What is Noise pollution
Noise pollution, often spelled as "noise pollution," is the excessive or disturbing noise
that may harm the activity or balance of human or animal life. It is primarily caused by
industrial and urban activities, including transportation, construction, and the use of
loud machinery. Noise pollution can have various negative effects on health, including
hearing loss, sleep disturbance, stress, and interference with communication.

Types Noise pollution
Transportation Noise: This includes noise from vehicles such as cars, trucks, buses, motorcycles,
trains, and aircraft.

Industrial Noise: Generated by industries and factories, including noise from machinery, equipment,
and processes.

Construction Noise: Generated during construction activities such as drilling, hammering, and heavy
equipment operation.

Neighborhood Noise: Noise from residential areas, including loud music, parties, barking dogs, and
other activities.

Recreational Noise: Noise from recreational activities such as concerts, sporting events, and
amusement parks.

conclusion
In conclusion, noise pollution is a significant environmental issue that affects both
humans and wildlife. It is caused by various sources, including transportation, industrial
activities, construction, and recreational events. Noise pollution can have detrimental
effects on human health, including hearing loss, stress, sleep disturbances, and cognitive
impairment. It can also disturb wildlife, leading to changes in behavior and habitat
disruption.

To mitigate the impacts of noise pollution, it is essential to implement effective noise

control measures, such as soundproofing, noise barriers, and regulations on noise levels.
Public awareness and education about the harmful effects of noise pollution are also
crucial. By taking these actions, we can reduce the negative impacts of noise pollution
and create healthier and more peaceful environments for all.
