Working after exchanging the some PCBs,

and Caution of AUTO UP DATE ROM working

1. The working after exchanging the next PCBs.
In case of exchanging the below some PCBs in your site, must execute working of AUTO UPDATE
ROM. Because this working is meaning of take the matching between the SYSTEM S/W and
Exchanged PCBs.

2. Procedure of AUTO UPDATE ROM

1）Log on
the US system is active
- Shut down the US system pushing [CTRL] + [SHIFT] + [Q] key.
- Open the “Start” menu under the left of the screen with track ball and pushing [SET] key, then select “Shut
Down” item.
- A dialog that confirms to shut down appears. Select “Close all programs and log on as a different user?” with
the track ball and click “Yes” with [SET] key.
- Keep pushing [SHIFT]-key immediately until the logon dialog is displayed.
- Input “Administrator” as user and “ef6” as password at log on dialog.

2）Update of ROM
- Open the hard disk drive, labeled as “C:”, on Explorer window.
- Open “ Us” folder.
- Open “ tools” folder (with pushing [SET] key twice.)
- Open “ ConsoleUpdateRom” folder.
- Open “ updaterom” file to execute the updater automatically. Then following code are displayed.
＊ You might see the different display because there are some kinds displaying with each S/W REV.
But return value is same, please check the marking value.

- Wait 5 seconds and press [CR]-key.

- Then, after displaying the following message codes, press [CR]-key again.

- If the different codes from above are displayed, try again this update procedure.
If *1 and *2 number is matched, updating can be normal working.

3）Log off
- Open the hard disk drive, labeled as “C:”, on Explorer window.
- Open “ Us” folder on Explorer window.
- Open “ setautologon” file.
- A confirmation dialog appears. Then click “OK” button with [SET] key.

- Close Explorer window with clicking button that is upper right corner of window.
- Click the “Start” menu under the left of the screen with [SET] key, then select “Shut Down” item.
- A confirmation dialog appears. Then select “Shut down the computer?” and click “Yes”.
- Wait for a while till a dialog appears. The dialog says “It is now safe to turn off your computer.”
 Then click “YES” button and turn OFF the power supply with the switch under the machine.
3. Caution of the AUTO UPDATE ROM working
If you tried this “AUTO UPDATE ROM” working at 5-6 times, and you can not update the ROM,
please doubt the next parts.

2.If return number is different at VEC20 PCB: ROM P/N 541-52688
