INSTRUCTIONS:
 A copy of the master files will be available from the invigilator. Should there be any problems
with a file, you may request another copy from the invigilator.
 Answer ALL the questions.
 Ensure that you save each document using the file name given in the question paper. Save your
work at regular intervals as a precaution against possible power failures.
 Read through each question before answering or solving the problem. Do NOT do more than is
required by the question.
 Unless instructed otherwise, use formulae and/or functions for ALL calculations in questions
involving spreadsheets. Use absolute cell references only where necessary to ensure that
formulae are correct when you copy them to other cells in a spreadsheet. NOTE: All formulae
and/or functions should be inserted in such a manner that the correct results will still be
obtained even if changes are made to the existing data.
 Ensure that you have all the files before you begin with this examination.

SCENARIO
We all need to contribute to protect our environment.

QUESTION 1: FILE MANAGEMENT [10]

Open the 1Questions word processing file AND the 1Study folder and follow the
instruction in the 1Questions file.

Save and close the 1Questions document and close the 1Study folder. (10)

QUESTION 2: WORD PROCESSING [40]

Open the 2Corn word processing document and edit as follows:

2.1 Change the page orientation to landscape. (1)

2.2 Insert the text 'Article by Luke Folb' in the centre of the header. (2)

2.3 Insert a solid line border above the heading 'Corn not made' with a weight of 6
pt. (2)

2.4 Change the formatting of the heading 'Corn not made' as follows:
 Change the font to Arial, bold.
 Change the font size to 23 pt.
 Change the heading to uppercase.
 Expand the character spacing of the heading to 1.5 pt. (5)

2.5 Change the paragraph that begins with 'A South African …' to Italics and set the
right indent of the paragraph to 5cm on the ruler. (2)

2.6 Change the settings of the all the text after the paragraph 'A South African …' as
follows:
 Change the line spacing to single.
 Change the paragraph spacing of all the paragraph to 3 pt after each
paragraph.
 Change the first line indent of all the paragraphs to 0.3 pt. (3)

2.7 Insert dropped cap formatting to the letter C of the first paragraph to appear as
follows:

Note:
 The size of the dropped cap.
 The distance of the dropped cap from the text. (3)

2.8 Find the text in the third paragraph that begins with 'Trent Pike, Erik, …' and
change the text in the paragraph to display as follows: ' … H2O and CO2 …'. (1)

2.9 Replace all the occurrences of the word 'bags' to appear in bold and small caps. (3)

2.10 Change the layout of the paragraphs starting with "I lived in …' and ends with '…
and DIN CERTCO.' as follows:

 This text must be justified.


 The text must appear in four columns.
 The space between the columns must be 1 cm only.
 Use the layout feature to ensure that a vertical line will appear between the
columns. (4)

2.11 Change the paragraph starting with 'The bags come …' to appear with bullets
using the symbol character code Webdings: 230.

The BAGS come in two sizes:


 Medium at 300 mm x 420 mm
 Large at 395 mm x 455 mm. (2)

2.12 Check the spelling of the document by using the word processing feature and
correct all the spelling errors in the document. (2)

2.13 Insert a page break so that the picture is on a new page. (1)

2.14 Correct the image at the end of the page to appear as in the example below:

Note:
 The lettering of the first (existing) picture.
 The picture inserted is 2Bag2 found in your test folder.
 Crop the second picture to resemble the image above.
 Ensure that the two images are exactly the same size.
 Group the picture to one image. (6)

2.15 Insert a process SmartArt at the end of the document to appear as follows:
