GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS

The portable cabins will be constructed to be capable of being handled without

any permanent damage/ deformation under the following conditions:
a) Lifting, full or empty, at top corner fittings vertically by means of spreaders
fitted with hooks, shackles.
b) Transportation from factory to Naimat field
i) Steel Skid;
Oil field heavy duty 3 runner I-beam steel skid, with intermediary transverse
beams at 2135mm centres, of 200mm x 100mm x22 kg/m mass, welded to
full width pipe ends of 100mm dia, schedule 80, with 12 mm lifting lugs
welded at each end. The skid to be suitable for direct placement on ground or
concrete pads. Skid to be designed for lifting operation without a spreader
bar.

ii) Base Frame;

Welded, hot dipped galvanized steel main peripheral support frame
comprising of 160mmx65mmx18.80 kg/m channel section with
75mmx75mmx10kg/m angle cross struts welded at 610mm centres to support
the floor deck.

iii) Floor Deck;

20mm thick water proof marine ply clad with fibreglass reinforced polyester or
any other suitable fire safe material. The under side of deck to be treated with
special preservatives/ coating (bituminous paint) to withstand moisture and
insect attack. The wooden floor to be fixed to the base frames by zinc plated
self-tapping screws.

iv) Floor Covering;

2 mm thick fully bonded hard wearing fire resistant vinyl covering from
“Marley”, or approved equivalent, for dry areas and 2mm thick anti skid (polka
dot) safety vinyl covering from “Marley”, or approved equivalent, for wet
areas. Floor covering is bonded to marine ply floor and in toilets/ wet areas
are folded up the wall 50 mm to ensure a watertight seal.

v) External Walls;
Outer walls to consist of profiled steel 1.80mm thick plate, welded to steel
framing. Wall insulation to consist of 50mm thick in-situ injected/ sprayed CFC
free polyurethane, having a density of 40 kg/cum.

vi) Internal Wall Facing;

Polyester coated fire resistant lining, or other approved finish.

vii) Partition walls;

Wall panels with steel framing with surface finish the same as internal wall
facings of respective areas. Acoustic insulation to be provided for all partition
walls.

viii) Roof;
A profiled steel roof deck of 1.8mm thick plate, welded to steel roof framing,
properly rounded for effective rain water drainage. The roof to have no
surface fastenings that can cause roof leakages. Roof insulation to be 50mm
thick in-situ injected/ sprayed CFC free polyurethane roof insulation, having a
density of 40 kg/cum, with impervious polyester-coated steel vapour barrier at
ceiling level to be provided to prevent problems associated with
condensation. Surface finish of ceiling to match internal wall facings of the
respective areas.

ix) External doors;

Steel faced external door panel, insulated with CFC free polyurethane foam
and clad internally with 6mm thick wood decor ply wood, with anodised
aluminium door frame having weather proof insulation seal complete with
cylinder mortise lock set, an automatic door closer and panic bar device on
the inside. External door frames to be manufactured from folded 3mm thick
steel plate by folding into a Z shape and fixed with a rubber sealing system.
The door to have heavy duty external freezer type door opener with 3 no.
Hinges- 2 near the top and one at bottom. All the door fittings/ fixtures to be
sturdy and of high quality to withstand tough field conditions.

x) Internal Doors;
Internal doors are semi solid core doors with polyurethane foam insulation
and with wood decor polished plywood on both sides with timber frame.

xi) Windows;
800mm x 900mm top hung/ sliding type, toughened, having tinted glazing in
upvc, complete with fly proofing, venetian blinds, and weather proof seals.

xii) Emergency Escape Hatch;

Each room to be provided with an escape hatch open able from inside only
through a panic bar. Fitting to be water and weather proof.

xiii) Fire Alarm System;

A properly engineered fire alarm system conforming to NFPA standards to be
provided. The system to consist of automatic fire detectors, fire alarm gong
bells, break glass contact point etc. The system to be suitable for
hook up with the centralised camp fire alarm panel. Only “Gent” equipment to
be used for standardisation with the Company’s existing system.

xiv) Electrical;
All electrical installation/ wiring to be carried out in accordance with NFPA,
suitable for 460 volts/ 50 Hertz 3 phase power supply. Cabin’s distribution
board to have 3 phase incoming, and single phase outgoing MCBs with
appropriately sized earth/ ground bar. All single and 3 phase out going
feeders to have residual current circuit breakers (RCCBs) appropriately sized
for correct and safe protection of all electrical equipment. Single entry
weather proof industrial socket of required capacity to be provided to hook up
to main power supply. Sufficient number of wall outlets to be provided having
individual circuit breakers for extra safety and located to suit the appliance
location.
Wiring of light circuit from DB to be with 2x2.5 sq.mm+1x 2.5 sq.mm as ECC.
Cables to run in 1" surface mounted PVC trunking. Light switches to be of 2
gang, make MK (MK Electric Co. U.K.). Ceiling lights, from Fitzgerald make or
approved equivalent, to be twin tube fluorescent with diffuser. Bedhead light
to be provided for each bed. Bulkhead weatherproof lights to be fitted above
each external door. Good quality mirror lights to be provided above mirrors.
Wiring of 13 amps power sockets to be with cables of 2x2.5 sq.mm+1x 2.5
sq.mm as ECC. Cables to run in 1" surface mounted PVC trunking.
Sockets to be 3 pin type 220V single phase, make MK. Each room to have 2
double socket outlets.
Wiring of 20 amps power sockets for A/Cs to be with cables of 2x4 sq.mm+1x
4 sq.mm as ECC. Cables to run in 1" surface mounted PVC trunking. Sockets
to be 3 pin type 220V single phase, make MK.

xv) Extractor Fan;

Each toilet to be furnished with 12” metal blade extractor fan, with external
louvers etc., suitable for continuous operation in extreme oil-field conditions.

xvi) Plumbing;
Water supply connections, drain points, UPVC internal and external piping for
cold water, continuous supply electric water heater with safety valve, fittings,
floor drains, clean-out traps etc., to be of best quality. Hot water supply piping
and fittings to be in copper. Vanity unit to be furnished with mirror lights,
shaving electric outlet, underneath cabinet, wall mounted shelves, towel rod,
hook etc. Shower cubicle to be single piece with glass walls, best quality
shower mixer, make Grohe, Germany, of adjustable height, complete with
soap dish, shower curtain etc.. Best quality wash basin mixture, make Grohe,
Germany, to be provided. Toilet bowl/ flush tank to be of glazed ceramic
European style “Twyfords” or approved equivalent, and to match with the
vanity unit in shade and quality.

xvii) Painting;
All steel surfaces to be fully abrasive shot blasted conforming to AISC
Standard with near white metal surfaces to remove all rust, dirt, mill scale
and all other foreign materials, before starting painting work.

All metal surfaces to be provided with following coating system:

Exterior surface;
Epoxy zinc rich primer 30 microns
Epoxy primer 40 microns
Acrylic top coating 50 microns
Total: 120 microns

Interior surface
Epoxy zinc rich primer 20 microns
Epoxy high build coating 50 microns
Total: 70 microns

xviii) Testing;
All units to be subjected to shower testing to ensure water tightness.

xix) Inspection;
All units to be inspected by UEP, with prior arrangement, during
fabrication. Also, final inspection to be carried out by UEP before
shipment of units.

xx) Shipping Format;

All units to be shipped in fully assembled format, ready for use at field.
