Welcome to the PlayStation 1 (PSX, PS1/PSone) and Net Yaroze Development website
Here you will find PlayStation 1 tools written as far back as the early ninties, advanced system information, disassembly and reverse engineering
projects, schematics, manuals, help, guides, tutorials and also meet some of the most intelligent and greatest programmers for the console as well as
former Net Yaroze members.
To get started making games and/or software for the PlayStation 1, follow the Psy-Q Software Development Kit (SDK) guide. This is the official PSX
SDK that licensed Sony developers used to make their games (EG: WipEout, Crash Bandicoot, etc).
We reccomend starting off with the Psy-Q SDK as it's well documented and has everything you will ever need in creating 2D as well as complex 3D
programs. For an alternative to Psy-Q you can look at the PSn00bSDK by Lameguy 64 which is more or less a direct open source modern competitor
to Psy-Q.

PSXDEV.NET currently has over 52,000 visitors each month with 4.07 million requests and serves 56 GB worth of data in that timeframe with the
most traffic coming from Singapore, USA/Canada and Brazil.
The server we have been on since 2012 couldn't keep up with the heavy traffic anymore so we have moved to a much more powerful server.
We may rebuild the site at some stage and look into adding a donate button to assist with server costs as we have been hosting PSXDEV.NET for free
with zero ads since 2012 and have never once asked once for donations, but it has finally reached the point where it's becoming too expensive for us to
keep hosting for free.

- 10 years of PSXDEV.NET! (we may look into hosting another competition at some stage).
- The contact page has been fixed and is now working again.

PSIO is flash cartridge which can also be used for development that plugs into your PlayStation’s Parallel I/O Port. It allows you to instantly see your
software running from an SD Card or via USB on real hardware, making it the ultimate developers tool, as well as making it invaluable for debugging.
