Identify and explain one key concept that you applied in the analysis of the case study you

chose. Provide an example of the concept in action.

One concept that I applied in the analysis of my case study was Corporate Responsibility. CSR is
a business model that helps a company be socially responsible to itself, its collaborators, and the
consumers. They are initiatives a company takes to contribute positively to society and the
environment. For example, a company donates a percentage of its profits to local schools to
support education and provides scholarships to underprivileged students.

Describe how this concept gives you a better understanding of International Business.

The CSR concept helps me to understand how businesses work in diverse international markets,
manage stakeholder relationships, address global risks, and make ethical decisions. For example,
it encourages businesses to consider the social, environmental, and ethical impacts of their
operations.

If you had to pick a different concept to explore through a case study from the list provided
in the case study assignment, identify which concept you would pick and explain why.

If I had to choose another concept, I would choose ethical sourcing. Ethical sourcing is a
business concept I understand very well, and have done previous assignments based on it.

Identify and describe a specific International Business idea you have. Make a connection
between what you learned about preventing the issue/ problem from the case study and
your own business idea. Explain what you could do to prevent the issue.

My business idea is to create a skincare brand that is made with sulfurous water, which is water
with great quantities of hydrogen sulfur. This can help with inflammation and it gives the
consumer smoother skin overtime. Sulfurous water is often found near
geothermal regions. Extracting this water for commercial use could impact the local ecosystem,
including aquatic life and vegetation. To solve this issue, i could develop and implement
sustainable practices for sourcing sulfurous water. For example, installing a system to collect
wastewater generated from sulfurous water extraction and processing. The collected wastewater
can be treated before reusing.
