Project Title: Centennial College Dormitory Delivery Application (DormApp)

Project Justification:

The current process of food and package deliveries at Centennial College’s

dormitory is inefficient and inconvenient for residents. The DormApp project aims to
streamline the delivery process by providing a user – friendly application that allows
for secure and direct delivery to dorm rooms, ultimately improving the overall living
experience.

Product Characteristics and Requirements:

1. Secure user authentication and access control for staff, stakeholders, and
tenants using the app.
2. Ability to manage, track and notify deliveries accepted, in process and
delivered to tenants.
3. Ability to manage and customize delivery instructions and preferences.
4. Integration with existing college systems and databases.
5. Mobile and web based application for residents, delivery personnel.

Summary of Project Deliverables

Project management-related deliverables: business case, charter, team contract,
scope statement, WBS, schedule, cost baseline, status reports, final project
presentation, final project report, lessons-learned report, and any other documents
required to manage the project.
Product-related deliverables: research reports, design documents, software code,
hardware, etc.

1. DormApp software application (mobile and web based).

2. System integration and API documentation.
3. Maintenance and support plan.
4. User manuals and training materials.

Project Success Criteria:

 DormApp is delivered within the approved budget and schedule.

 The application meets all specified requirements and functionality.
 User adoption rate reaches 75 % within the first 3 months of launch.
 Delivery – related complaints from dormitory residents decrease by 50% within
6 months of DormApp implementation.
 The application receives a user satisfaction rating of 4 out of 5 or higher.
