 This paper is divided into three sections: Section A is made up of 10 short questions, section B is
on cost accounting and section C is made of TWO questions based on management accounting

Question 2: COST ACCOUNTING (15 Marks)


WUMNGANYI Ltd
This enterprise produces a product called P. the production process goes through two steps:
Step 1: Raw material M is transformed in workshop 1 where a semi-finished product called S is obtained.
Step 2: The semi-finished product S, in combination with raw materials A and B is used to produce a
finished product called P in workshop 2.
Information for the month of April 2016
i. Stocks as at 31/03/2016: ii. Purchase of raw materials
 Raw material M: ½ tonne at 36,000F a kg  Raw material M: 675kgs at 20,000F a kg
