Amber is an undergraduate student
dedicated to studying and protecting
the natural wonders of Maryland and
has an avid interest in exploring
species interactions and the different
ways we as humans interact with and
impact the land, especially the forests
and marshlands of the Patuxent and
Potomac watersheds.
She aims to find a position where she
can work out in the field, making
tangible lasting progress towards the
research and preservation of
ecosystems in and around the
Chesapeake Bay and beyond.

Environmental Sciences concentration, Biology minor and French

Info Systems, R programming and Statistical Analysis, Field
sampling techniques for Biology-based research, Genetics, and
Classic and Contemporary French literature.
WORK & VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Calvert Nature Society Environmental Education Intern
Summer 2024
Designing and leading summer camp activities that provide kids
k-8 with hands-on knowledge and wonder for local species and
their home ecosystems. Collaborating with peers and
professional naturalists to monitor local raptor populations.
Caring for rehabilitating amphibians, reptiles and raptors.
Maintaining trails, equipment and publicity for public parks.
Chesapeake Biological Laboratory – Woodland Lab Intern
Fall 2022–Spring 2023
Helping facilitate experiments with mysids to determine their
trophic position. Analyzing epibenthic sled tow samples,
speciating both live and preserved decapods, & culturing mysids.
Eco-Hawks Environmental Sustainability Club - Secretary

Creating and participating in projects on and around CSM
campuses to plant native trees, foster pollinator populations,
remove invasive species, and educate the community.
