University of Essex

*Why have you selected the university of Essex?*

I picked the University of Essex for a few reasons. First, it's

ranked 459 in the QS World University Rankings 2024, 32 in the
Complete University Guide 2024, and 30 in the Guardian
University Rankings 2024. Also, the university got a really high
score of 88% for student happiness in the 2022 National Student
Survey (NSS). Plus, almost everyone who graduates from there
finds a job, with a 90% employment rate.

Besides, Essex is known for teaching students to think well and

get ready for work. They're good at supporting students too, with
things like personal tutors who help them learn on their own.

So, because of all these good things, I decided to go there.

Have you searched any other universities in the UK?

Yes, I've explored two other universities apart from the University
of Essex: the University of Hertfordshire and Birmingham City
University.

Even though all three universities offer quality education, the

University of Essex excels in various aspects. It holds higher
rankings and offers distinctive programs. According to the QS
World University Rankings 2024, Essex ranks 459th, surpassing
Hertfordshire and Birmingham City University, both of which are
ranked lower. Similarly, in the Complete University Guide 2024,
Essex secures the 32nd spot, while Hertfordshire and
Birmingham City University are positioned lower at 83 and 90,
respectively.

Regarding business courses, all three universities provide them.

However, the University of Essex stands out with specialized

2
classes like new venture creation and quantitative analysis for
business, which the other two universities lack.

Although, Hertfordshire and Birmingham City University boasting

an employability rate of over 95%, compared to Essex's 90%,
Essex remains superior in terms of education. This is because
Essex emphasizes real-world experience and case studies in its
teaching approach, whereas the others are more focused on
theoretical learning.

So due to all these aspects i have decided to go for the university

of Essex.
