Something that I learned from conducting this lesson in the Voyager classroom was that many of the students already had a wide range of
knowledge about many of the kitchen tools. Some of the students even told me about experiences they have had helping their parents cook or bake
in the kitchen. I also learned that some of the students knew about every tool that was displayed, and others only knew a few. I believe that this will
inform my future instruction because my assessment allowed me to see what the students know about each of the tools. This will help me to plan
future activities and instruction because I could use this data to create small groups of students of similar assessment results. I would use these
small groups to plan specific lessons and activities that support the needs of the students in the group and emphasize the content that they may still
need some practice and experience with. Overall, I believe my lesson went well, and it focused on a very beneficial topic for the students to learn
(and continue learning) about.
