The "Twende Afrika Innovation Challenge" (T.A.I.C. 2023) stands as a rallying


call to Africa's brightest minds, a platform to channel their creative energies
and technological acumen towards solving the most pressing challenges of
our time. We invite university students across the continent to step forward
with their groundbreaking projects and prototypes. Using the principles of
Industry 4.0 (, often referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which
encompasses the integration of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, the
Internet of Things (IoT), and automation into modern industrial processes),

cities: Kampala, Kigali, and Nairobi who will go through 3 weeks of
mentorship to refine their project and learn how to pitch. They will do
a national-level pitching competition in December 2023, where 3 top
teams shall be selected to advance to the regional stage.
Participants can enter individually or as a team (up to 4 members).

Events Logistics $10,000.00
Funding of $25,500 is being requested for the Twende Afrika
Innovation Challenge. This budget includes the costs of Prize Awards $12,210.00
running the competition, encompassing program coordination
and management, marketing and communications expenses, Total $25,500.00
and travel and accommodation costs for university visits in
Nairobi and the other three participating countries.

Additionally, a portion of the budget is allocated to providing


necessary resources to support disadvantaged students. The Detailed Budget
remaining funds are earmarked for conducting baseline and
impact surveys and monitoring the impact metrics of the
competition.
