Bahay Kubo?
“Bahay Kubo” means “country house” in English

Bahay-Balay, Kubo-Kubu

Literally translates to “cube house” because of its shape

It is a one-room house, raised above the ground to protect the

dwellers from the dampness and humidity of the earth.

It is a common type of dwelling in lowland and coastal areas

during Pre-Hispanic Philippines
