The Hunchback of Notre Dame, by Victor Hugo, captivates readers with its portrayal

of societal norms and human emotions. The story unfolds during the 15th century of
Paris with its detailed imagery and complex character interactions whilst following
the universal themes of love, death, lust, and jealousy.

Personally, I liked the story and the characters. Just like every other story, the
characters played the role of driving the plot and eliciting emotions effectively.
Conflicts were created because the characters clashed each other. However, another
thing I noticed is that, throughout the story, the incorrect use of tenses and
pronouns were seen and it detracts slightly from the overall readability. Instances
such as "as Frollo run away" instead of "as Frollow runs away" and pronoun errors
such as the use of "they" instead of the proper singular pronoun "he" disrupt the
flow of the story. Despite these minor grammatical errors or inconsistencies, the
story remains compelling.

Ultimately, The Hunchback of Notre Dame stands as a timeless work of art, as it

showcases Hugo's mastery in crafting a story that resonates with readers across
generations. Its exploration of human nature and societal constructs ensures its
enduring artistic value.

Incorrect tenses of verbs and pronouns:

later that night.
