Cuppa Fate is a full service coffee shop that offers high quality products at a very
reasonable price. Cuppa Fate aims to be the place to meet with friends, students, and
working adults that enjoy a nice, quite, and relaxing atmosphere. Millennials are more social
and mobile than previous generations and prefer to have coffee with friends in a trendy, and
instagram-able place like Cuppa Fate. By providing a Free Wifi, it aims to become a favorite
among students and local professionals. We offer affordable and accessible menu items and
entertainment as measured by their inherently natural value, at an affordable price that will
encourage regular visits. With our simple yet sophisticated menu, Cuppa Fate prides itself in
pouring up a delicious cup of coffee while providing great customer service.

Cuppa Fate will do everything in its power to create an environment for all it’s customer
that allows the stress of their daily struggles to fade away through the combination of kind
customer service, a welcoming atmosphere, and a commitment to quality products.
Cuppa Fate will offer services options such as; dine-in, take-out, drive-thru, and delivery
around the town area.

Cuppa Fate is a monopolistically competitive market structure. This is because it has a lot
of competitors and the target market is easily accessible. Coffee business is high in
competition. There are so many coffee shops with different on taste, quality, and ambience
to be factors by customer’s choice. Therefore, Cuppa Fate should emphasize on taste,
quality, and figure of the shop to follow sales point. Giving more value when compared with
customer’s money is assured by containing quality products, which attributes at a lower cost
than competitors. Cuppa Fate should focus attention on quality products, deeply understand
customer insight and approach their customer needs.
1.3.1 TARGET MARKET AND CUSTOMER BASE

Cuppa Fate’s primary target market will be students, professionals, and tourists. Both
groups are heavy consumers of coffee and snacks. The group might dine out frequently
three times or more per week. A majority of the customers will be person’s who enjoy a
relaxing atmosphere, conversation, and who wants to read while enjoying their cup of
coffee.
The local customer base consist of approximately 2,700 customers, at least 800 customers
per week.

The entire Brgy. Poblacion, Cataingan, Masbate have a population of 7,600 and our target market will
be 2,700 students, professionals, residents, and tourists. The target population makes up to 35.5% of
the overall population of Poblacion, Cataingan.

Cuppa Fate has two main competitors in the area namely;; Minimu Coffee, and Kapetan Coffee.

Cuppa Fate is a unique coffee shop where its customers can not only enjoy a cup of delicious coffee, but
also spend their time in an ambient surroundings. We offer quality products with affordable prices and
entertainment that will encourage regular visits.

To build up customer base, we will advertise Cuppa Fate through posting banners and giving flyers
during launch period. We will also have social media pages to promote our business, where all about
Cuppa Fate will be posted to make people know, like, and trust our business.

1.4.2 DISTRIBUTION

Cuppa Fate will occupy 500 square meters area located in front of Cataingan National High School. It is
very convenient for our possible customers because it is located along the national road where they can
spot our shop easily.

Cuppa Fate will occupy 500 square meters area in Poblacion, Cataingan, Masbate. It is located in
front of Cataingan National High School. Cuppa Fate be divided into different areas, where
customers can partake in different activities we offer without bothering other customers. The
interior design of the shop will focus on projecting a relaxed atmosphere.
The production process of Cuppa Fate’s products will be made by our trained staffs and best cooks.

1.7.1 MANAGEMENT

Cuppa Fate is committed to provide a friendly, comfortable atmosphere, where the customers can
receive quality products, services and entertainment at a reasonable price. Our management team is
consists of active, accommodating and knowledgeable management staffs that are united with the same
goal which is to bring satisfaction to our customers while fulfilling their duties and responsibilities.

The Management team consists of a General Manager/Owner, a Store Manager, an accountant, a


cashier, two baristas, two cooks, five waiters, three cleaners/bus person and two delivery riders.

Overall management will be the responsibility of the owner. The owner, Glophebie Faith Almodiel is a
licensed Civil Engineer. She lives in Estampar, Cataingan, Masbate but she’s currently staying at her own
house in Poblacion, Cataingan, Masbate near her coffee shop. She has been a coffee lover since then,
that’s why she decided to have her own coffee shop years after she become an engineer as her sideline
business.

1.7.2 LEGAL STATUS

The management will apply from the local government unit concerned pursuant to Executive Order No.
71 and 72, for the approval of plans for coffee shop establishments of the following:

1.7.3 PARTNERS AND SPONSORS

Cuppa Fate is a sole proprietorship business owned by Glophebie Faith Almodiel, a licensed Civil
Engineer. The business will be funded by the owner using her own salary and savings as an engineer.
However, the owner considers her family as her partners and sponsors of the business because they
offer financial support if ever the business ran into difficulties.

1.8 RISKS

materials. Make sure that the shop has been
inspected by the fire officers.

the ingredients is safe to be consumed.

O1+T2 – Along with coffee, we can expand our product range by giving snacks, and other such goods to
our customers. It’ll not only be an addition to our products but also bring some extra income, which help
us to afford costly suppliers.

2.1 PERSONAL MOTIVATION

My personal motivation is my family. I am willing to do everything for them. Ultimately, I am doing this
for them. I want to spoil and give them everything that they didn’t experience before. Whenever things
get tough, I will just think of them to keep myself motivated.

2.2 EXPERIENCE
Cuppa Fate will be the first business that the owner will produce since she just decided to establish this
as her sideline business while she’s working as an engineer. Hopefully, soon she will have more business
if Cuppa Fate will gain more profits.

2.3 PERSONAL ROLE

Cuppa Fate’s owner, Glophebie Faith Almodiel, is also a general manager. The one who manage the
business’ overall operations. She’s responsible for improving efficiency and increasing department
profits and oversee several elements in the business, including hiring staffs.
