Introduction – ‘The Road Not Take’ a thought provoking and a timeless piece written by Robert Frost.
This poem suggests that it’s completely our perspective or a choice which we make to choose the path
for us- whether right or wrong. The choices that we make is completely our own responsibility to face
the consequences.

Overview-

The poet says that he is standing at the diversion of a road where he has two roads to choose from. The
poet says that we can opt for the difficult one for our convenience, but we may regret to face the
consequences. He says that one day we would be proud of his choice that he had made in his past .He
doubts his choice saying that it may lead to a destructive unexpected end of his life, but he finds it okay
to make difficult choice as it’s his decision to lead his life easily or facing challenges. Moreover if he
wants to go back and take the another road/path, he can’t. So the poem also suggests to make a wise
choice so you won’t regret in future.

Conclusion-

The choice we make in our life effects our life . Choices create a big impact on our life. There are always
two ways to live- a life with challenges and adventure , and on the other hand we can have a dull life
with lifeless pattern to life without any challenges. Poet finds it satisfactory and feels self contempt to
make a choice that others may not make. A less travelled path may seem difficult and fairly travelled
road seemingly be easy to go on. Always make your choice wisely, as you will not get another cchance to
make another choice.
