I. Learning Target/Specific Objectives


A. Content Standards The learner demonstrates an understanding of how
Anglo-American literature and other text types serve
as means of connecting to the world; also, how to
use ways of analyzing one-act play and different
forms of verbal for him/her to skillfully perform in one-
act-play.
B. Performance Standards The learner skillfully performs in one-act-play by
utilizing effective verbal and non-verbal strategies
and ICT resources based on the following criteria:
Focus, Voice, Delivery, and Dramatic Conventions.
C. Learning Competencies/ Objectives Judge the relevance and worth of ideas,
soundness of author’s reasoning and the
effectiveness of the presentation (EN9RC-IVf-
2.22)
At the end of the lesson, the student should be
able to:
a. Comprehend the story titled, ‘Ratatouille’;
b. Answer a series of questions about the
story;
c. Make a story review; and
d. Accomplish the activities promptly and
honestly

we will tackle another topic but before
we start the discussion, let’s have an
activity first.

D. Discussing Listening definitely is not as easy as it
new concepts & looks. As you recall in the previous
practicing new tasks you have done, you needed to
skills #1 listen to songs again to figure out the
meaning in some parts of the song or
you might have listened to it before but
only now did you realize how insightful it
is. While others find it so “easy” to listen,
it is actually a mental work. And this
needs to be done with much focus
especially if there is no video to watch
along with the sound.

Unlocking unfamiliar words:


attic - A space or room just below the

helpless in a difficult situation
sous-chef - The second-in-command in
a kitchen
retaliate - Respond to an attack or insult
by returning a similar one.
dejected - Sad and depressed
