Isn’t she cute! Super easy to make, takes very little time and materials. I
make little critters so the animal shelter I help out at can sell them to raise
funds to help out animals in need. Finished size; 4” x 3”
You will make 1 that you f.o. after the 5th row, this will be the bottom and
the 2nd you will not so you can sc the top and bottom tog. I did the black 1st
then the red because the border around is in red. After I finished the red
body, I stitched on the line down the center and the dots, I find it easier that
way.
Joining top and bottom, when you have both pieces made put them tog
wrong sides facing and sc around leaving a small opening to lightly stuff.
Then continue to sc the rest of the top and bottom tog, f.o.
Head
With black top side facing you, locate the top center where the black line is.
Go 2 stitches to the right and attach yarn. Sc in same space, skip 1 st, 7 dc
in next st, skip 1 st, sc in next st, f.o.
I cut 2 pipe cleaners approx. 2” long, stick them thru the body close to the
head and bend them underneath to hold and hide the metal piece. Roll the
top of the pipe cleaner so she has cute antenna using caution with the wire
ends.
Glue on wiggly eye and you have a cute Lady bug. Happy Stitching
