in India?

a) Three Rupee b) One Rupee c) Five Rupee d) Two Rupee

Q.II. State whether the following statements are true or false. If false, rewrite the
correct statement.

1. The bars of a bar graph cannot be represented horizontally. False

2. Perimeter of a rectangle is length x width. False

3. The sum of 2 notes of ₹100,100 notes of ₹1 and 1 note of ₹2 is 302. True

Q.III. Fill in the blanks.

1. An angle measure 0° is called a _Straight angle.

2. A pictograph represents data through pictures of objects.

3. When the sum of the measures of two angles is that of a right angle, then

each one of them is acute angle.

4. A figure which is formed by two rays or lines that shares a common

endpoint is called an angle.

5. If you want to find how much space is inside a shape, you are looking for its
area.

Section B
I. Do as directed.
1. Observe the given figure with protractor and give the measure of each
of the angles.

(i) ∠POQ= 35° (ii) ∠POT=160° (iii) ∠POR=95° (iv) ∠POS= 125°
2. Yug bought a margarita pizza and he divided the pizza in to 8 equal
Parts. What is the measurement of an angle of each pizza slice?
Sol:- The pizza is cut into 8 equal parts
∴ Measurement of an angle of each pizza slice = 360/8 = 45°
3. Count the number of right angles and acute angles in

I LIKE MATH
No. Of right angle =9 , No. Of acute angle = 5

4. Convert the following: a) 110p = ₹ 1.10 b) 1000p = ₹10.00

5. Add and subtract the following:

a) ₹832.23 − ₹259.00 =₹573.23

b) 125 rupees and 75 rupees 75 paise= ₹125.00 + ₹75.75 = ₹200.75

Section C
I. Solve the following.

1) A rectangular field is 75cm long and 65 cm wide. Find out the boundary of

the field.

Sol- A rectangular field

Length =75cm Wide=65cm

Perimeter =2x(l+w) = 2x(75cm+65cm) = 2x140cm = 284cm

2) Find out perimeter of the square field whose one side is 27cm.

Sol- Perimeter of the square field = 4 x side = 4x 27cm= 108cm

3) Find out perimeter of the following shapes.

4cm 9m
5cm 5m

10m

5cm 5cm 5m

Perimeter = 5+5+5+5+4+4= 28cm Perimeter = 10+9+5+5+9= 38cm

4) Pictograph shows the food requirements for a balanced diet .

Each stands for 30 g.

Name of Food Quantity

Cereals

Sugar

Fat & Oils

Milk & Milk

products
Pulses

Fruits

Vegetables

i) Which food should be eaten the most? Cereals

ii) Which food forms the smallest part of our own diet? Sugar and Fats & oil
iii) How many grams of pulses should we have in a day? 30g x 6= 180g

iv) What should we consume more vegetables or pulses? Vegetables

v) What quantity of vegetables should we consume daily? 30g x9 =270g

vi) How many more grams of milk & milk product should we consume than

fruits ? Milk & milk product consumed = 14 x 30g = 420g

Fruits consumed = 4 x30g = 120g
420g - 120g = 300g more milk and milk product consumed then fruits
5) Classify the following angles into acute, obtuse, right and reflex angle:
(i) 35°=Acute (ii) 185°= Reflex (iii) 90°= Right
(iv) 92° = Obtuse (v) 260°= Reflex
6) Measure these angles with the help of a protractor.

4
i) ii)
15° 45°

iii) iv)
122° 129°

7) Use your protractor to draw these angles:

(i) 40° (ii) 125° (iii) 25°

Section D
Q.1.Think and answer the following.
From these two angles which have large measure? Estimate and then

Confirm by measuring them.

Fig.A Fig.B

Sol - We will be using the concept of angles and protractors to solve this.

Looking at both the images, we find that the opening of angle b is more than the
opening of angle a.
Thus, the measure of angle b is greater than angle a.

Therefore, the measure of angle (a) = 45° and the measure of angle (b) = 60°

Q.2. State which of the following statement is incorrect. Give your answer.

Statement A: Boundary of Park A is more than Park B.

Statement B: Boundary of Park D is less than Park C

Statement C: Boundary of Park E is more than Park C

Statement D: Boundary of Park C is more than park A.

Ans : Since, boundary of Park E is less than Park C. so statement C is incorrect.

Q.3. Khushi ran 2 times around a square park whose each side was equal to 90 m.
How much distance did she cover in total?
Sol: Length of side of square = 90m
Perimeter = 4 x Side = 4 x 90m = 360m
Khushi ran 2 times of the park = 2 x 360m = 720m
Q.4. Nirmala bought a T-shirt for Rs.150, a pair of shoes for Rs.269.50 and a suit
for Rs. 650.75. If she gave three 500-rupee notes, how much did she get back?
Sol : Three 500-rupee notes = 3 x ₹500 = ₹1500
Cost of T-Shirt = ₹150.00
Cost of a pair of Shoes = ₹269.50
Cost of a suit = ₹650.75
___________________________________
Total cost = ₹ 1070.25
Amount of Money back = ₹ 1500.00 - ₹ 1070.25 = ₹ 429.75
