General Precautions

Please Refer to Risk Assessment.

• Keep electrical equipment securely stored when not in use


• Always use nearest available socket to plug into and do NOT trail leads across walkways and
access routes
• Ensure electrical equipment I “in date” for testing
• Use nitrile gloves when handling / using chemicals
• High visibility clothing (tabard / vest) to be worn at all times.
• No smoking allowed on site

Method Statement

Valeting Area

1. Put on PPE (nitrile gloves)


2. Site manager will ensure staff are competent to complete job safely
3. Keep valeting area free of litter
4. All materials to be stored within lock boxes and containers provided

Valeting Vehicles (interior)

1. Clean the interior of the vehicle using professional vacuum to the seats and carpets etc.
2. Place all litter and rubbish from vehicle in bins provided immediately.
3. Clean all hard surfaces using appropriate cleaners and cloths etc.
4. Clean all doors ledges and sills with appropriate cleaner and cloths
5. Clean all glass with appropriate cleaner and cloths.
6. Spray air freshener inside car once interior cleaned. Do this from outside the car and NOT
whilst you are in the car.

Valeting Vehicles (exterior)

1. Spray the entire vehicle with Waterless product taking care to minimise any overspray which
may land on the car park floor.
2. Leave Waterless product on the car for 60 seconds
3. Remove product and dirt from vehicle with clean microfiber cloth
4. Place dirty cloths’ in container provided
5. Take a clean microfiber and buff to shine
Glue & Tar – (apply before any polish)

1. Identify any tar spots for removal


2. Apply product directly on to a microfibre cloth
3. Rub microfibre cloth gently into area to remove tar spot

Polish

1. Apply the polish to the entire vehicle with a clean cloth


2. Leave the polish on the vehicle for as long as possible (however vehicle must be ready for
customer returning)
3. Take a clean microfiber and buff to shine

Tyres

1. Apply tyre shine with sponge to tyres once the customer returns to collect car, paying
particular attention to ensuring product does not fall onto the car park surface.
