Kooch Kavach - Installation Steps
Bahu-Balli
• Made of bamboo, treated and coated for longevity,
termite & insect proofing and protection from weathering
• Bamboo is impregneted under vacuume pressure with
creosote oil
• Coated with High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
• Stronger than steel - with equivalent lifespan (50 years plus)
• Lighter than steel
• Environment friendly & boosts farmer’s income and rural
economy
Bamboo vs Bahu-Balli (Mechanical Properties)
Bamboo vs Bahu-Balli

Bamboo Bahu-Balli
Degrades rapidely in water Waterproof
Susceptible to Insects & termite attack Termite proof (theoritically min 25 years)
Limited lifespan (1-5 years) 50 years plus lifespan
Skilled manpower required for product Easily used by unskilled or semi-skilled
application workers
