SUMMARY, CONCLUSIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS
This chapter presents the summary, conclusions, and
recommendations based on the findings of Social Responsibility and its
Impact on High School Students’ Academic Achievement in Pangasinan.

Summary
This study aims to determine the impact of social responsibility on
their academic achievements high school students in Pangasinan,
specifically to answer these questions: the profile of the respondents, the
level of influence of social responsibility on high school students’
academic achievement in Pangasinan, and the strategies that can be
proposed to improve social responsibility of the students. One hundred
(100) high school students who are in junior and senior high school will
be selected using the convenience sampling method to partake in the
study who reside in Pangasinan, specifically referring to the following
locales namely: Dagupan City, San Carlos City, Manaoag, Mangaldan,
and San Fabian. The study will make use of the Descriptive Research
Design. This study will make use of an online and face-to-face survey
questionnaire as the primary gathering tool. It will be composed of two
parts, the first part consists of questions with regards to the profile in
terms of age, gender, grade level, birth order, and religion.

Conclusions
The respondents of this study are aware of how highly influential
social responsibility is for the high school students in their academic
achievement. There is still room to improve the knowledge and
perception of social responsibility among high school students in
Pangasinan. The findings reveal that a majority of the respondents
recognize the importance of being socially responsible and acknowledge
its positive impact on academic success. However, it is noted that there
are areas where students may benefit from increased awareness and
understanding of social responsibility, suggesting the need for targeted
interventions. The level of influence of social responsibility on academic
achievement varies among students, indicating that individual factors
may play a role in how students perceive and prioritize social
responsibility in relation to their academic performance. Factors such as
family background, socio-economic status, and cultural influences may
contribute to the diversity in responses.
Recommendations
Based on the findings of the study, the following recommendations
are provided:
1. Inclusion of Social Responsibility Education. School administrators
and policymakers should consider integrating social responsibility
education into the high school curriculum. This can be done through the

development of specific modules or courses that focus on the importance
of social responsibility and its practical applications.
2. Awareness Campaigns: Educational institutions and local
communities should collaborate to organize awareness campaigns
highlighting the significance of social responsibility. These campaigns
can involve workshops, seminars, and other interactive activities to
engage students and promote a deeper understanding of their role in
society.
3. Community Engagement Programs: Schools should encourage and
facilitate community engagement programs that allow students to
actively participate in socially responsible activities. This can include
volunteer work, community service projects, and partnerships with local
organizations to instill a sense of civic duty and responsibility.
4. Mentorship Programs: Implementing mentorship programs can
provide students with guidance and support in understanding the
practical aspects of social responsibility. Mentors can share their
experiences and insights, helping students navigate the challenges of
balancing academic responsibilities with community involvement.
5. Continuous Assessment and Improvement: Educational institutions
should regularly assess the effectiveness of the implemented strategies
and make necessary adjustments. Continuous evaluation will help

identify areas for improvement and ensure that social responsibility
education remains relevant and impactful.
