Grid Dynamics Hackathon Rules and

Guidelines
Overview:

The following document outlines the rules, eligibility criteria, registration process, terms &
conditions, and provisions for the upcoming Hackathon organized by Grid Dynamics.

Domains:

Participants can register in the following domains:

1. Java Backend Developers

2. UI Developers (Web or Mobile)
3. Data Science Engineers

Eligibility:

1. Participants should have at least 3+ years of experience in their respective domains.

2. All participants must be able to attend the office on the day of the Hackathon.

Registration Process:

1. Participants can register through a provided Google Forms link, furnishing the necessary
information.
2. Registration is open for both individuals and groups.
3. For individual registrants, groups will be formed based on their domains during the
event.
4. On-spot registration is allowed (participants will not receive a T-shirt).
Rules:

1. The Hackathon will take place on the 16th of March from 9 am till 9 pm (IST) at the Grid
Dynamics office premises (5th Floor, Tower 1, Sattva Knowledge Park, Serilingampally
Mandal, Raidurg, Pan Maktha Village, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Telangana, 500081).
2. Every team must consist of at least one Java engineer, one UI engineer, and a Data
Science engineer (if available).
3. Participants must bring their own devices with the proper environment setup to save
time.
4. If participants bring their laptops, it should be either Windows, Mac, or Linux.
5. Participants will be connected to a Guest network with a speed of 10Mbps per user.
6. The password of the Guest network will be shared on a demand basis.
7. Internal network access, including ACS (Access Control System), will not be provided.
8. Participants can seek assistance from internal employees for office premises access and
are not allowed on an internal network.
9. Participants are not permitted to enter sensitive areas such as HR, IT, server room, UPS
room, and other critical locations.
10. Any tampering or sniffing of the network will result in immediate disqualification and the
blocking of all access.
11. If any participant is found in sensitive areas, immediate evacuation is required, and the
individual will be disqualified from the event.
12. Teams must reach the Grid Dynamics office premises (5th Floor, Tower 1, Sattva
Knowledge Park, Serilingampally Mandal, Raidurg, Pan Maktha Village, Hyderabad,
Rangareddy, Telangana, 500081) on time.
13. Adherence to the Code of Conduct is mandatory for all participants.
14. Teams can comprise 3-5 members, formed by choice or assigned.
15. Projects should align with the provided themes and be submitted by the specified
deadline.
16. Teams retain intellectual property rights; confidentiality must be respected.
17. Projects will be judged on creativity, technicality, innovation, usability, and presentation.
18. Cheating, plagiarism, or dishonest behavior is strictly prohibited.
19. Participants are responsible for their hardware/software and must comply with legal
requirements.
20. Organizers have the discretion to amend rules and resolve disputes.

Terms & Conditions:

1. Participants must sign a document for the product's intellectual property (IP).
2. Code ownership is to be provided to Grid Dynamics.
Providing:

Prizes:
Winners will receive a prize and a certificate of recognition.
1st Prize: Rs 50,000 | 2nd Prize: Rs 30,000 | 3rd Prize: Rs 20,000
Awards are disbursed in the form of gift cards, akin to debit cards, which possess usability
across various establishments in India.

SPOC:
Each team will be assigned a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) from Grid Dynamics, serving as a
mentor and providing guidance.

Food:

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, hi-tea, and snacks will be provided at the office.

Goodies:

All participants will receive complimentary T-shirts and other merchandise adorned with the Grid
Dynamics Logo and Hackathon branding as a gesture of appreciation.
