RULES & REGULATIONS
Each team will consist of three (3) members.
There will be no restriction on the structure of
teams: Members can be from the same year or
different years, disciplines and institutions;
Teams will participate under a name they
choose to give
Names must not be offensive.
In case of the absence of one or more team
members, the team will be disqualified.
Only the first answer given by a team shall be
taken into consideration by the judges.
Likewise any answer given after the time limit
has elapsed will not be considered.
No ‘skips’ shall be allowed: Each team will have
to answer the questions it is asked.
In case of a tie between two or more teams a
tie-breaker round will be held.
Any use of dishonest/unfair means will result
in the disqualification of the team(s) involved.
The decision of the judges will be final

Rapid Fire Round

QUALIFYING ROUND
Written paper of total thirty(30), four choice multiple choice
questions (MCQs) per team.
Paper must be attempted within forty-five (45) minutes.
There will be no maximum limit on the number of
participating teams.
Top 9 teams qualify for the next round.
Marks are not carried forward to the next round.
There will be no negative marking
The order of questioning for the General and Multimedia of
descending score in the Qualifying Round General Round:
Rounds will be determined by a lucky draw, drawn in order

GENERAL ROUND:
Each team is asked a total of three (3) questions on a wide
range of topics.
Each question will have a total weightage of ten (10) marks.
All teams will qualify for the next round.
Each team will have twenty (20) seconds to answer each
question.
Marks will be carried forward to the next round.
There will be no negative marking.
MULTIMEDIA ROUND
Each team is asked a total of three (3) questions associated
with a displayed video, audio or picture.
Each question will have a total weightage of fifteen (15)
marks.
Each team will have twenty (20) seconds to answer each
question.
All teams will qualify for the next round.
Marks will be carried forward to the next round.
There will be no negative marking.

CATEGORY ROUND:
Each team will be asked to pick a number which is
associated with a hidden category. The categories will be
chosen by the teams based on order of descending score
accumulated in the previous two rounds.
A total of three (3) questions will be asked related to the
chosen category.
Each question will have a total weightage of ten (10) marks.
Each team will have twenty (20) seconds to answer each
question.
Only 5 teams will qualify for the next round.
Marks will be carried forward to the next round.
There will be no negative marking.
RAPID FIRE ROUND
Only 5 teams will qualify for this round
Will consist of a rapid-fire round of a maximum of 30
questions
There will be negative marking. For each incorrect an swer
five (-5) marks will be deducted from the answering team’s
total. Teams can choose to skip.
Each correct answer will give the team that answered ten
(10) marks.
Each team will have to answer as many questions as pos sible
in one (1) minute.

TIE-BREAKER ROUND:
Will consist of ten (10) questions with further extensions of
five (5) questions each on the “Rapid-Fire Round” pattern
until the tie is broken.
Any marks awarded or deducted in the tie-breaker round(s)
will not be considered for the main rounds.

PROCEDURE
1. Gather a three member team
2. Fill in your details at the registration form attached
3. Pay the registration fee at the mentioned account
4. Take a screenshot of the Payment Receipt and upload it to
the form
5. Await the form confirmation email
6. Your registration will be confirmed and you will be added to
the WhatsApp Group shortly before the event.
