This folding booklet, a small format (approximately 9 ½ x 16 ½ cm) pocket version, and dated 1945, is
reproduced for distribution by the 925th and 926th Engineer Aviation Regiments, IX Engineer Command,
Ninth Army Air Force. The publication contains a number of “special” messages related to the Allied
Victory (V-E Day) and signed by some very important Allied Officials, such as Dwight D. Eisenhower,
Supreme Commander, Allied Expeditionary Force; Harry S. Truman, President of the United States; Henry
L. Stimson, Secretary of War; James V. Forrestal, Secretary of the US Navy; William L. Mackenzie-King,
Prime Minister of Canada; Queen Wilhelmina, Queen of the Netherlands; Ernest J. King, Admiral of the US
Navy; Chester W. Nimitz, Admiral of the US Navy; James B. Newman, Jr., Brigadier General, Commanding
Engineer Command (Provisional), US Strategic Air Forces in Europe; Carl Spaatz, Commanding General US
Strategic Air Forces; George C. Marshall, Chief of Staff US Army; Henry H. Arnold, Commanding General,
US Army Air Forces.
