Re: Dad’s Socks Rock Run

Each year in April, people and corporates around the world join hands to celebrate World Autism Day. This year
once more will present an apt opportunity to highlight the gaps and gains made and create buzz and awareness.
In plugging in to this year's autism awareness efforts, through collaborative efforts of Kampala Hash House
Harriers and together with stakeholders whose aim is to provide crucial assistance to those in dire need of
specialized care and guidance, we hope to use a different approach to engage with the public and raise the bar,
to spotlight on the challenges of autistic children, in order that they can attain some measure of independence
and live more fulfilling lives.

Kampala Hash House Harriers firmly believes that it is through outreach and advocacy; pursuit of treatment &
therapies; and promoting of research & data, that we can get to increase understanding of autism spectrum
disorder, minimize stigmatization while encouraging acceptance of people living with autism. That’s why we are
running for a cause…and the cause is autism. Your support plays a pivotal role in expanding reach and making a
profound impact on the lives of those who need it most as such it stands as the beacon of hope for countless
autistic children and their families across Uganda.

We are thus calling on you to come and partner with us in supporting this noble cause. Your support plays a

generosity will catalyze efforts geared towards offering crucial support, care, and transformative therapies to
these neuro divergent community who are often overlooked. We seek your support to help in printing T-shirts,
buying food and drinks for the run.

Finally, also consider running with us as; your participation directly fuels the mission to train more care givers,
set up care centers, and provide essential resources, ensuring that autism awareness programs flourish and
extend their reach to more communities.
