Argumentative Essay

 Write a minimum of 1000- word essay on a debatable topic of your choice, yet discuss it from a
business perspective. A model of argumentative essay is posted on the portal for your
reference.
 Deadline for Essay submission is April 21
 Possible dates for presentation are April 17/ April 22/ April 24
 Individual-work
 A minimum of two drafts were submitted. Points will be deducted, if not submitted.
 Plagiarism above ten is 5 percent deducted. Plagiarism above 20 is NOT acceptable.
 The essay should have the following components;

1. Introduction

End the introduction with a thesis supporting your argument (in two points).

2. First supporting paragraph

 An explanation of the first point in support of your argument.
 The explanation should be supported by evidence, including examples, facts, reports, research.
 Resources including Blogs or Wikipedia are not acceptable.
 Whenever using external resources, you MUST add inappropriate in-text citations.

3. Second supporting paragraph

 An explanation of the second point in support of your argument.

 The explanation should be supported by evidence, including examples, facts, reports, research.
 Resources including Blogs or Wikipedia are not acceptable.
 Whenever using external resources, you MUST add inappropriate in-text citations.

NOTE: Personal experiences or stories can be used once only.

4. Counter Argument
 An explanation of the counter argument (2 points).
 The paragraph should end with a refutation in which you explain why your argument is still better,
without bringing new information or ideas
5. Conclusion
 Include a summary of the main arguments
 A final thought/ recommendation/ call for action

6. A reference page is included. Make sure that your essay follows the APA style.
