Who should enrol?
This course is ideal for experienced project managers who want to
enhance their career prospects.
Course fees
Online: R9 250.00.per delegate (VAT incl.)
Contact sessions: R15 900.00 per delegate (VAT incl.)
Course fees include all study material, exclusive access to PMI’s PMP
training platform for 1 year and refreshments (Contact sessions).
Course fees must be paid in full 14 days prior to course start dates.

Admission requirements
The course has no prerequisites but eligibility to write the exam and
gain certification is strictly prescribed. The prerequisites to becoming
PMP® certified are:
• A four-year degree, 36 months leading projects, and 35 hours of
project management education/training (PPM or equivalent) or
CAPM® Certification
- OR -
• A Grade 12 certificate or the global equivalent, 60 months
leading projects and 35 hours of project management
education/training (PPM or equivalent) or CAPM® Certification
Delegates are advised to book to write the exam 1–2 months after the
course. This must be done through the PMI at www.pmi.org
Accreditation and certification

Taryn Bond-Barnard is a Senior Lecturer
in the Graduate School of Technology
Management at the University of
Pretoria, South Africa. Her qualifications
include an engineering degree (cum laude), Master’s (cum laude) and
PhD in Project Management. Taryn is a certified Project Management
Professional (PMP) and a professional engineer. She has extensive
industry experience in project management, process engineering,
business analysis in the information and communications technology
industry both in the public and private sector.
Currently, she teaches various modules on the School’s Master’s
in Project Management Programme (MPM). It is the only Master’s
Programme on the African continent that is accredited by the Global
Accreditation Center (GAC) of the Project Management Institute
(PMI). She has published widely in both national and international
journals and regularly presents papers at conferences in her field of
expertise. In 2018 she received the International Project Management
Association (IPMA) Global Young Researcher Award and in 2019 was
recognised as one of the Top 200 Young South Africans. Her research
interests include project communication management, IT and services
project management.
