 Visualize multiplication of numbers from 1 to 10 by 3 and 4 mentally.

 Illustrate repeated addition as a multiplication strategy.

 Use different strategies (repeated addition, arrays, multiples, and equal jumps on the number line)
when multiplying 3 and 4.

At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to…
 Visualize multiplication of numbers from 1 to 10 by 3 and 4.
 Multiply numbers mentally by 3 and 4 using appropriate strategies.
 Appreciate the importance of numbers by using them in their daily life.
Transfer Goals: Students on their own and in the long run will be able to:
 Multiplication is used in their daily lives, such as when finding the total amount
of money, counting objects in groups, and even cooking food. It helps them get
the total number of objects or money faster than counting them one at a time.

EXPLORE  Ask the learners what modes of transportation they can think of.
 Present the illustration and ask the following questions:
a. How many wheels does a car have? (4)
b. How many wheels are there in 6 cars? (24)

FIRM-UP  The teacher will show a picture.


 What do you see in the picture?
 How did you get the total number of candies in each set?
 What do you observe about the number of candies inside each bag?
 Write the addition to get the total number of objects.
