My name is Nur Shabrina, and I am writing to you to apply for the lecturer position in
the Faculty of Agriculture, particularly the Department of Food Technology / Agricultural
Products Technology. I noticed that my education and background as well as experiences
would be a welcome addition in your university. I enjoy teaching and knowing that the students
are learning and understanding all they need to know to move forward in their careers.

I have a Bachelor degree in Biology which makes me comprehend the fundamental

knowledge of Agriculture. I passed my undergraduate program with flying colors, and a cum
laude predicate. I took my postgraduate program as soon as I graduated from my undergraduate
program, selecting two-years study of Master of Food Science and Technology at The
University of Queensland, Australia. I believe that my knowledge and skills will come in handy
during practicums and exams.

I am also passionate about doing research and community services. I understand that
being a lecturer is not only about teaching, but also giving back to the community via research
and related community activities. I can be counted on to assist in every aspect of the Tridharma
Perguruan Tinggi (the university’s three main responsibilities of education, research, and
community service).
