For a product to succeed, the product must be known to its audience. The way to build a

brand is to create a product that has a clear and concise description of what it does. It is not

enough to simply have a good product; it must have a unique selling proposition. The product

must be well-built to be sold. A good product is a combination of features and functionality. The

features should make the product stand out from the rest of the product space, and the

functionality makes the product work in real life.

This paper will discuss the niche that Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 has not been serving. It will

also outline how the Samsung Company can advertise the product by designing a brand image

and developing a campaign theme to ensure that the niche is served.

The product is a tablet computer called the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. It has a 7.0-inch

touchscreen display with an Android operating system, a quad-core processor for faster

processing, and a camera with 4.1 MP. The tablet computer has an 8 GB internal memory that

can be expanded by 256 GB with external memory. The tablet computer can also connect to the

internet through 3G or 4G and has two USB ports, microSD for data storage, and a micro-SIM

based on a CDMA type, allowing it to connect to all major mobile networks. The tablet computer

has a 10,000 mAh battery, making it suitable for more prolonged use without recharging.

In addition to the tablet computer, the product has a range of applications that allow the

user to access social media, watch videos, play games, and read books. The product can also be

used to make online payments through its integrated Near-Field Communication (NFC) chip.

The brand category is Electronics. The niche is Education Sector. The product is targeted at

schools and families with children who are currently students in school.

Due to the advanced technology, many schools have adopted learning through computers

and tablets to create a more modern teaching environment (Moran et al. 79-10). The demand for

tablets has hence increased. This product is only available at certain few stores, and their prices

are generally high. Therefore only a few schools and families have been able to afford them. The

product is considered to be a suitable replacement for paper textbooks and other learning aids

and is expected to be popular among students. Tablets also ease the analysis of students'

performance as the number of students in schools has increased of late.

This product is not a mass-manufactured product but a custom-made product. This means

that the product has been designed so that it can be tailored to the user preferences. Because it

has been designed this way, there is a demand for this product because it can be used for a range

of roles requiring specific functions. In addition, because this product has been custom made, it

has the advantage of being unique, and the user can be confident that it will suit them.

Apart from school segments, this product will likely be in high demand include the

business sector, which is expected to grow over the coming years. Thus, the tablet might be used

in business to conduct business meetings and to facilitate business transactions. Furthermore,

many advertisements and sales have been taking place online of late. The business sector can

therefore use this tablet for advertising their products. Many firms are expected to purchase the

product hoping that it will help increase their sales.

Another market segment might be the health care sector. Hospitals have adopted keeping

patients' records on computers. The use of tablets in hospitals may increase the patient’s

satisfaction by reducing the time the customers have to wait for them to be served. (Kucukarslan

et al. 489-496). It will also increase the efficiency of medical services. Many hospitals will also

be able to offer guidance about some diseases through their websites where the patients can get

the information. Since tablets are more portable, they are more preferred. The health sector is

expected to purchase more of these tablets.

This tablet might be used by governmental organizations to collect statistics and to

manage budgets. As the technology advances, the government has been doing various activities

through computers (Al Nagi et al. 577-583). For instance, Census is nowadays conducted using

tablets. Also, the election process has been computerized. It is therefore expected that this trend

will keep on increasing hence the need to have many tablets.

The tablet may also be used for entertainment and leisure purposes. By accessing the

internet, one will be able to watch movies, songs and also listen to music. The tablets also have

games that one might play to keep him busy and also reduce boredom. Many comedians post

their comedies to platforms like YouTube, and one can access them using a tablet. Entertainment

is therefore expected to grow through the use of tablets.
