EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 001

Series of 2012

REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE OF

BARANGAY BINGAY, BORBON, CEBU.

WHEREAS, Section 12(a) of the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2012
provides, that there shall be established a Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee
which shall be responsible for setting the dissection development implementation and coordination of
disaster risk management within their territorial jurisdiction;

NOW THEREFORE, I NACIANSINA S. CATUBIG, Punong Barangay of Barangay Bingay, Borbon,

Cebu, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby ORDER, as follows;

Section 1. Reorganization of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of
Barangay Bingay, Borbon, Cebu, to be composed of the following:

Chairman : NACIANSINA S. CATUBIG

Members : (SEE ATTACHED TEAM SHEET)

Section 2. Functions. The Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council shall exercise
the following duties and functions:

1. Formulate Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plans consistent with other national and local
planning programs;
2. Assist in ensuring the integration of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation into local
development plans, programs and budget as a strategy in sustainable development and poverty
reduction;
3. If necessary, and as recommended by the local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Committee,
implement a forced or pre-emptive evacuation of local residents;
4. Perform all other functions assigned by law, the President or the Local Risk Reduction and
Management Committee Office.

Section 3. Meetings. The Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council shall meet at
least once every quarter or as often as may be necessary.

Section 4. Repealing Clause. All prior orders and issuances with regard to the creation,
reorganization, composition, meetings and functions of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council inconsistent herewith shall be deemed superseded by this Order.

Section 5. Separability Clause. If, for any reason or reasons, any part or premises of this Order shall
be held to be unconstitutional or invalid, other parts or provision hereof which are not affected thereby
shall continue to be in full force and effect.

Section 6. Effectivity. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
