Learners will proficiently activate prior knowledge, set clear goals for
enhanced comprehension, and adeptly develop diverse reading skills,
encompassing vocabulary enrichment and creativity, fostering active
language use and encouraging thoughtful reflection and creative
application of newly acquired words during reading sessions.
The learners will independently read a grade-appropriate text,
develop a range of reading skills, foster a deeper understanding of
the text, and demonstrate comprehension by summarizing key points,
identifying main ideas, and making connections and reflections.
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to achieve at
least 75% proficiency level of the following:
1. Identify themes and messages conveyed in a chosen
selection;
2. Reorganize key points and main ideas from the text, using a
graphic organizer; and
3. Reflect on the moral choices presented in the story and
consider the impact of their own choices on themselves and
others, promoting ethical awareness and decision-making
skills.
