• Borescope inspection of armature winding,
rotor winding and blocking (as accessible),
stator core step laminations and fingerplates.
• Perform tests on rtd’s, armature winding, and
rotor winding.
• Armature winding Test – IR, PI and Resistance
Test.
• Turbine Generator Rotor Test – IR, PI,
Resistance Test and RSO/Impedance Test.
• Stator winding Test – IR, PI, DC Ramp Test
and Resistance
• Exciter Inspection – Visual Inspection,
Insulation Resistance Test.

blocking, stator core laminations and fingerplates (as

• Advance Stator winding Test –Tip-up, IR, PI, Tan Delta (Tip-up
Power Factor), Partial Discharge (PD Test)
• Corona Visual Check, as assessable to determine areas and
severity of any corona activity.
• Rotor IR, PI, Resistance Test and RSO/Impedance Test.

• Stator Winding Test – IR, PI, DC Ramp and Resistance Test.
• Advance Stator winding Test –Tip-up, IR, PI, Tan Delta (Tip-up Power Factor),
Partial Discharge (PD Test)
• Core Test (El-Cid test) and visual indications of looseness.
• Corona Visual Check, as assessable to determine areas and severity of any
corona activity.
• Rotor IR, PI, Resistance Test and RSO/Impedance Test.
• Exciter Inspection – Visual Inspection, Insulation Resistance Test and
resistance test.
• Core Test (El-Cid test).
• Wedges Tightness Detection (WTD).
• Generator rotor retaining ring inspection (base on OEM requirements).

o Incoming inspections, electrical insulation testing, photographs, mechanical measuring of all fits
and surfaces.
o Pressure wash cleaning and temperature controlled baking ovens ensure that all AC/DC
motor parts are handled with extreme care and professionalism.
o All mechanical components are either pressure washed or set in our aqueous parts washing
machine.
o Upon completion of cleaning and baking all AC/DC motor and generator windings are
thoroughly inspected for deterioration, damage and wear.
o Complete full insulation testing such as Baker surge testing, hi pot testing, core loss and rotor
bar inspection and testing.
o DC motors and generator inspection and testing.
