3 lemongrass 3 garlic peeled 2 chili without seeds 5 Asian onion (or ½ common onion) 3 cm ginger 2 cm turmeric or ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon white pepper powder 2 leaf spring onion 100 ml coconut milk or cream 2 red tomatoes juice from half of lemon or lime chili sauce for the garnish 2 tomatoes cut in cubes for the garnish
Cut the fish into small cubes.
Mix with salt and juice from the lemon or lime. Put the lemongrass, turmeric, ginger, garlic, chili, onion and tomatoes in a blender until it becomes a soft paste. Mix the paste with the fish, spring onion and add the coconut milk or cream. Put the mixture in banana leaf or aluminum foil. Add the tomatoes and chili sauce on top to garnish. Grill or steam the fish for about 5 minutes.
