The most frightening experience of my life happened 3 years ago. My parents used to go to work
until 8 o'clock in the evening and I had to stay at home alone. It was a Sunday evening that
someone intended to break into my house. I was having dinner and watching TV. I could not
hear anything outside because I focused on an interesting TV program. Someone was trying to
break the lock and open the door. Suddenly, I heard something strange and turned off the TV. I
felt scared and run into my room. I called my grandfather who lived near my house. He went to
my house immediately. When he came, that person had gone. My grandfather called me and I
opened the door. He and I waited for my parents. At 8 o'clock, my parents came home. My
grandfather told everything to them and asked them not to leave me alone. After that event, I did
not dare to stay home alone.
Topic 2: A person that you admire.
A person that I admire is Alede. I have known Adele since her debut album, “19”.. Back then, as
a student, I thought her lyrics were too complicated, but I was impressed with her voice and
her performance. I guessed this woman would become one of the most well-known artists in the
future. Now I know I was so right.
To be honest, I did not listen to her very often in the past. I just started to listen more these days.
I think I am getting older, so it is easier to understand what she sings. Also, I know she is
an introvert. She doesn’t like people to know much about her private life. So I was shocked when
she wrote an album about her divorce. The album I am talking about is “30”.
People say “30” is famous for its honesty and sadness. But I don’t think so. I believe
“30” represents bravery when Adele dares to share her truth and turns her sad stories into hope.
The last song on the album is about self-love. I agree with Adele. Self-love is important and
everyone should come to realize this. I can listen to this album again and again as I can find so
many meaningful messages in it.
Topic 3: Describe a place that you want to visit.
My favorite city is known as a livable city in Vietnam. That is Da Nang city. Da Nang is a great
tourist city, a place for people to explore beautiful landscapes, enjoy delicious food and enjoy the
fresh air. Da Nang has not only the sea, but also the magnificent mountains surrounding the city.
Visitors can spend time to explore Ngu Hanh Son mountain or Ba Na mountain,. Ba Na Hills is
like a mininature town of France, with typical classical architecture, creating an elegan space.
Here, you will have the opportunity to see hundreds of flowers blooming, getting lost in a
beautiful fairyland. At night you can walk on the streets on the bridges that cross the Han River.
This is an ideal place for people to visit and travel. In addition, the people here are extremely
friendly and hospitable. Hopefully one day not far away, you and your family will be able to
travel in Da Nang and enjoy the space here.

Topic 4: Write about a news that makes you happy.
Well, I have received a number of things from my near and dear ones as presents. But here I
would like to talk about a time when my grandfather helped me by giving me money as a
birthday gift. I really wanted it at that time. I felt happy during this time.

This event made me highly elated. I explain it briefly. About a couple of weeks ago, my parents
had organized a birthday party on my 23rd birthday. It was a surprise party for me because they
did not tell me about this party. On the day of my birthday, I passed my whole day as same as
common days till evening time. Because at that time no one wished me for my birthday
including my friends.

Perhaps, my mom included them in her plan for a surprise birthday party. I was feeling glooming
for this behavior of my family members but I was astounded that they are doing something
without informing me. Then, I was relaxing in my room, suddenly, my brother came and covered
my eyes with his hands. He took me to the roof of my house.

After it, he said to me to open my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I saw that My parents as well as
my some friends had organized a birthday party for me. I felt so astonished. They all wished me
for my 23rd birthday. After it, I cut the cake and everybody who was at this event gave me
presents. I thanked them.
Moreover, my grandfather gave me money, about 70 thousand rupees as a gift because he knew
that I have need of a large amount of money to take admission in the computer course. Firstly I
denied it but my mother said to me to take it. Because my grandfather was giving it to me as his
love. So, I accepted it. Furthermore, I have taken admission in bachelor of computer application
course with that money.

All in all, This was the time when I received money as a gift from my grandfather. This event
made me immensely glad.
