Proposed Title
A Feasibility Study on the Introduction on Selected Soju Cocktail and Mocktails for Oppaps
Food and Refreshment
Background of the Proposed Topic:
Business expansion can open doors to exciting opportunities, whether entering new markets,
forming strategic partnerships, or going online. From that, Oppaps Food and Refreshment is opening
doors to expand their business to cater more market through exploring drink options. With that, the world
of cocktails and mocktails has seen a surge in creativity and innovation, with mixologists and enthusiasts
alike constantly exploring new flavors and combinations.Like in many Asian cultures, social drinking is a
common practice in the Philippines, especially during gatherings, celebrations, and nightlife activities.
Soju's association with conviviality and socializing aligns well with Filipino drinking customs. Soju, with
its smooth taste and versatility, has become a favorite base for creating delightful and refreshing
beverages that appeal to a wide range of palates. The proposed soju cocktail drinks for the business are:
Soju Lemonde, grapefruit soju, Apple-soju cocktail, Soju mojito and yogurt soju.
Furthermore, mocktails have been steadily gaining acceptance in the Philippines, reflecting a
broader global trend towards healthier lifestyles and a growing demand for non-alcoholic beverage
options.Mocktails are suitable for people of all ages, including children, teenagers, and adults. The
proposed mocktail drinks for the business are: Caribbean Sunset Mocktail, Virgin Watermelon Margarita,
Berry Burlesque, Lavender Lemonade, Bluberry Mojito, Lemongrass Jasmine Iced Tea, and Pineapple
Cobbler
Target Market
The Philippines has a rich history of cultural exchange with various countries, including South
Korea. With the rise of Korean pop culture (K-pop), Korean dramas (K-dramas), and Korean cuisine in
the Philippines, soju has become more visible and accessible in the local market.Soju is often perceived as
an affordable alternative to other spirits like whiskey or vodka. Its relatively low price point compared to
imported liquors makes it more accessible to a broader range of consumers in the Philippines. With that,
the target market of this study are youngadults and millennials along with fans of Korean culture for they
often seek out trendy and innovative beverage options. Soju cocktails, with their unique flavors and
cultural appeal, may resonate well with young adults and millennials who are adventurous in their
culinary and beverage choices.Furthermore, with the non-alcoholic beverage, it caters all demographic,
offering wider range of market.
Availability of Resources
Suppliers of Oppaps Food and Refreshment will be use as an advantage for the resources
needed in the introduction of these proposed drinks. Likely, online platforms offer a convenient
way to purchase soju brands and cocktail and mocktail ingredients. In our quest for more
ingredients, we are actively seeking suppliers who specialize in this specific operation.
Partnerships with local shops would also be a great convenience for us to gather necessary
ingredients for the offered drinks.
