Outline: Marie Eisner

1. Introduction:

Topic: In what way does the climate change impact

the ocean and why should it be prevented?

Statement of idea: The consequences of climate change are

sea level rise and thermal expansion and this
affect the ocean production, lead to flooding,
and a loss of habitats.

History: Main Information about sea level rise and

temperature in the ocean.

2. Body

First reason: The marine primary production is

decreased by warming up the ocean.

Supporting detail: The changing temperature of the ocean

influence the primary production and food
webs.

Second reason: Sea level rise is a major problem of

climate change and cause a lot of
damage.

Supporting detail: Along with the sea level rise, cities will be
flooded and salinity in the surface water and
groundwater will increase.

Third reason: The climate change is causing a loss of

ocean, costal and polar habitats.

Supporting detail: The beach and special species like coral

reef, sea grass and oyster provide a habitat
for many organisms. Because of the thermal
expansion and sea level rise many habitats
will be destroyed.

3. Conclusion:
My conclusion will include suggestions for preventing cities to flood, to save
habitats and to increase productivity. At the end, I will write a summary of my
main points and a closing comment.
